CIAC Arbitration 101” Webinar

The Philippine International Center for Conflict Resolution (PICCR) is pleased to share an invitation from the Philippine Institute of Construction Arbitrators and Mediators (PICAM), Inc. to its upcoming “CIAC Arbitration 101” Webinar, which will be held on 24 October 2027 via Zoom.

The webinar will provide participants with an overview of the legal and engineering concepts relevant to CIAC arbitration, including the process of initiating an arbitration case before the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission (CIAC) and the conduct of arbitration proceedings.

It will also cover common legal and technical issues relevant to the preparation and presentation of claims and counterclaims, providing participants with practical insights into the arbitration process.

The webinar is open to all interested participants, whether from the legal or non-legal fields. PICAM, Inc. encourages organizations, firms, and institutions to nominate or invite interested members to participate in this informative session.

PICCR Invites Legal Professionals to International Conference on Trust, Responsibility, and Artifici

The Philippine International Center for Conflict Resolution (PICCR) invites members of the legal profession, arbitrators, legal practitioners, academics, business representatives, and other interested professionals to participate in the international conference titled “Trust, Responsibility and Artificial Intelligence in Contemporary Arbitration: Fair Trial and the Bulgarian Arbitration Reform – One Year Later,” to be held on 19 November 2026 at Hall A, Floor 1, Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), 9 Iskar Street, Sofia, Bulgaria.

Organized under the auspices of the President of the Arbitration Court at the BCCI, Mrs. Aneta Antonova, the conference will bring together international participants to exchange insights and discuss emerging developments, challenges, and ethical considerations shaping contemporary arbitration.

The conference will focus on four key areas:

The Bulgarian Arbitration Reform – One Year Later

Trust in Contemporary Arbitration and the Right to a Fair Trial

Artificial Intelligence in Arbitration – A Tool or a Threat to a Fair Trial?

Responsibility in Contemporary Arbitration – Ethical Rules for Arbitrators

Through discussions on these topics, participants will have the opportunity to examine the implications of recent arbitration reforms, the importance of maintaining trust and fairness in arbitral proceedings, the opportunities and risks associated with artificial intelligence, and the ethical responsibilities of arbitrators. The conference aims to encourage the exchange of professional perspectives and experiences on strengthening the integrity, fairness, and accountability of arbitration in an evolving legal and technological landscape.

To accommodate participants from different jurisdictions, the conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing attendance either in person in Sofia, Bulgaria, or online via Zoom. The working languages will be Bulgarian and English.
